Not mine of course, mine was...wow 10 years ago?!!My sister's senior prom was today, so after I picked up Logan from school we headed out to my Mom's to see my sister off. She went with a friend of hers and they looked really cute together. Here is my little sister all grown up now!
Since Ava is literally attached to me in less she is in her crib sleeping, it was making dinner prep time rather difficult, she would no longer sit in her high chair while I got dinner going, just to far away from Mommy (yea she's a Mommy's girl to the max). So now I use the Bumbo seat and put that on the counter while I get dinner on. She loves being up there and has great fun playing with the spoons and spatulas and her favorite the spice rack spinney thing. It's funny how with different babies you use different baby items/gear more or less. We rarely used the Bumbo with Logan, but Ava has used it a lot same with the Pack N' Play, with Logan we were in our apartment and didn't use it until he was older, with Ava we used it all the time for diaper changing and just recently put it away. Then there is the bouncer, Logan was in that thing all the time, Ava not so much and we put it away already. Anyway here is my little kitchen helper, isn't she cute?
Small problem today for the final show, the show that gets videoed, we went to get ready behind the curtain and those of us that had left our hats and sunglasses with our boxes the night before couldn't find out stuff, there was a made dash as my coach and her sister who run the backstage every year, looked for it, the next thing we know our music starts and we had to go with out our hats and glasses, which was a cool part of our ensemble, and we were off a little time wise because we started late, but we made do, I didn't skate my best, two footing both of my jumps, I think after being sick for the last week and my back all jacked up my body was just done. skating five days in a row like that was a lot, and we were all ready to be done. It was fun though and it felt great to be back in a show after my baby hiatus. Now I think I want to do a competition and of course I am ready to start landing my Axel, back to the regular skating grind now!In other news, Ava now has a third tooth, on the bottom next to her middle left tooth, it's so cute, we are waiting for the one on the right to pop up now!In other, other news, I will be cleaning for probably all of next week, you can tell that I was sick and at the rink for the past week, it's.a.disaster!
It was a long day, two shows in one day is always exhausting. My first show was ok, I two footed one of my jumps and my spin was not great (I was doing a camel and it was killing my back to arch) Matt said it looked fine but I know it wasn't a great skate. The second show my family was at, and of course the family joke about ice shows is that at my first one ever (7 years ago) I hit a divot at center ice and fell on my stomach out of a spiral and slid like super women (it was a bad fall knocked the wind out of me) so my Mom says don't do your superwomen impersonation tonight, to which I replied that I had not fallen in an ice show since that first one, seven years ago, so what happened tonight, yep that's right down I went, slipped right off my edge of my loop, nothing I could do to save it, it happens to the best. I wasn't too upset about it, because the rest of the skate was good (and my sister who was taking video panned away so you can almost not tell that I bit it in the video LOL) but of course my Mom had a good laugh about it. I watered down and did an easier spin because my back flippin hurts, it's right under my shoulder, left side, the side I pull into spins and jumps with it of course. Anyway one more show to go tomorrow, and it's official video day so hopefully it's the best skate for my group!
