A Tea Party To Melt Your Heart...
Last night I had Ava in her Bumbo seat and we took out her little teapot set she got from Santa for Christmas and put it on the tray. Logan and I played with the buttons and Ava tried to grab at it and actually got a hold of the cup, it was cute. I took some pictures of her first tea party (it's so fun knowing we get to do all this girly stuff now). So fast forward to today and I put her in her Bumbo again and put some toys on the tray for her to play with and I went into the kitchen to do something. Next thing I hear is Logan saying Ava, tea party. So I peek in on them and he took the toys off her tray and put the plate of sweets, cup and teapot on the tray ( I ran and grabbed the video camera) and started pouring her tea and then took the cup and put it up to her mouth so she could drink. It was so cute, he then took each of the three sweets and fed her those and then poured her some more tea. It really just melt my heart to see my little man who is all about cars, trains, and planes and all things boy, to sit there and play tea party with his sister. Ava really loves when Logan pays attention to her, I am sure one day they won't play so nicely together, but for today I will relish their tea party time.

De-Christmastized...
Today we spent all day taking down the Christmas decorations, well the inside decorations (Matt didn't want to take down the outside stuff in the -3 degree weather for some reason...) It's never as fun taking it all down as it is putting it up. Christmas was so awesome this year, Logan was at a perfect age to really get it this year and really enjoy it. He was so excited for Santa this year and loved putting up the tree (he was very upset when we started taking it down today). Having Ava with us this year was really the greatest present we could ever receive, she was a long time int he making and it was a long road to get her here and last Christmas we were in such a different place emotionally so we were looking forward to having happy holiday season this year and Ava and Logan sure gave us that and then some.

A New Do For Mama!
So it's been a little over a year since I have done anything to my hair. Last Christmas I had it cut and highlighted and that is the last time I did anything to it because I wanted to grow it out again ( I had cut it really short in September 08) and I got pregnant with Ava and I didn't want to have any color treatments while I was pregnant. So fast forward to today. I went out and got my layers put back in and had bangs put back in and tonight I am going to attempt my first at home coloring job. Just going to do a dark brown color for the winter and see how I like it. I do have a couple of white/grey hairs that I also want to get rid of, those suckers starting popping up a lot more about a year ago, maybe it was stress, maybe just age, but either way I am not ready for that stage of life anytime soon. So hopefully I can figure out this at home dye kit and I won't screw anything up to bad...pictures to follow...hopefully!
So my first home dye job was a success...other than the small mess I made in the process.
Here is a picture
It's a dark brown, looks more red/purple in the picture though.
So I did pretty good for my first time and I saved a whole lot of money. Usually I go the the salon and it's about $30 for my haircut and $90 for my coloring. Today I spent $13.95 on the haircut and I think I got the dye on sale for $7.99. Matt was happy about that!
In bad news today, as I took the camera out of the diaper bag to take this picture and turned it on we found out we broke the view finder screen errrr, now we have to use the little view finder to take and review pictures. Matt is gong to call Fuji to see if we can get it fixed hopefully it won't cost and arm and a leg...

New Year, New Blog, New Adventures!
Happy New Year to everyone! Here is hoping that 2010 will be good to us all! I decided this year that I am going to try to blog more often, maybe every day even if it's just to post a picture or something that the kids did that day or a sentence or two to sum up my day. (I have to give credit to one of my mommy friends on the forum I belong to, who came up with the idea and is doing something similar). I think it will be something neat to have and look back on. Having two kids now I find myself not recording the little things that happen everyday that I know I will want to remember some day. I also wanted to have a space where I can blog about what is going on in my life outside of being a wife and mother. I was blogging on MySpace way back when, but I along with most people don't use MySpace anymore so I needed to find a new blog home away from our family blog so here it is!
I have a lot of things I want to accomplish this year, which I will get too in the posts to come, but most importantly I am looking forward to a new year as good as last year. I don't know what can top Matt getting an awesome new job and the birth of our baby girl, but I am sure this year will be just as wonderful now that we are a family of four! I feel so blessed to have Ava with us, after everything we went through losing our second baby and the complications we had early with Ava to have her here and healthy has been the best gift ever. She was my Christmas present this year for sure.
So here we go, hopefully I will stick to my guns and keep up with my new blog and I will have year worth of blogging by this time next year!
