Beautiful Day!
I am loving this warm weather and Logan is loving all things outside and of course going to the park. We headed outside after Ava's nap this afternoon and she had fun sitting in her saucer while Logan showed off for her. It is so fun to watch them interact now, I swear Logan get's the best belly laughs out of her, must be a special brother sister thing.

Little Ms. "Talker"
For the past few days Ava has really starting babbling, she has always been a "talker" but now she is saying mamamama and bababababa and I even heard over the monitor this morning dadadada but that didn't last as long LOL! I tried getting some video she only gave me a little bit of the mama stuff, but I love hearing it and it's the best sound in the world (yea I know she probably isn't associating mamamama to me her mama, but still makes a mama feel good)
Here she is just "talking" happily
And here she does the "mamama" a little bit

A Nice Little Saturday...
At the Home Depot (ever see Old School, then you might get why that's funny). So we head to the Bob the Builder store as Logan calls it, to pick out our new front door and storm door we are having put in, and they are having a big old sale and of course as soon as we walk in they are handing out Tootsie Rolls and some how Logan ends up with three...
Sugared up child at Home Depot...wonderful. We got our doors picked out which Logan thought was a lot of fun. Then headed to the paint center so I could get some touch up paint for our hallway and living room, Logan again had fun looking at the Micky Mouse paint samples and found a little paint booklet with Lighting McQueen in it so that kept him busy for a bit.
We headed over the garden center next and got some mulch and some timber to use as edging and picked out some brick for our back garden. We probably won't get flowers until next month, but we are trying to get some of the landscaping done now at least. We are also working cutting down a tree back where we put the pool so we can get more sun back there. I am also hinting at my wonderful husband to get on the ball and build a deck this year, fingers crossed!
All in all a nice little Saturday with the family.

Back To School!
Logan went back to school today after having two weeks off for spring break and then Good Friday and I don't know who was more excited Logan or me LOL!
After I dropped Logan off at school, Ava and I went to do some errands which ended up taking a lot longer than planned. First I had to go get a license plate sticker...easy right? No never, I swear every year it's something when I try and go get my sticker. Ever since we moved I have not gotten a renewal notice for my plate sticker, so of course I forgot about it and it expired last month, luckily I wasn't too late and didn't have to pay a late fee. So I get Ava out of the car go into to my sticker and nope sorry you have to get an emissions test first. Great. I also haven't gotten emissions notifications since we have moved. Three years ago the same thing happened to me and of course my car failed, and $800 later I finally passed and got my sticker. Well now I am freaking out, I am selling my car next month for crying out loud and will not put anymore money into my car (its 12 years old and we have outgrown it). So I pack Ava back into the car head over the the next town to the place for the emissions test, actually only had one person ahead of me (that was a first) and thank God my stupid car passed this time. Then we hike back over to get the sticker, first stopping and going into the post office to mail some stuff (and of course all the old ladies want to touch my baby ahhhh!) Get back to the sticker place get Ava out again finally get my sticker. I really hate cars sometimes, they always cause me so much annoyance.
Since I had my car I wanted to go get our new chairs for our breakfast bar in the kitchen. I go out to the Target father from where I was because I knew they had them in stock and of course they only had one and the wood was all chipped up. It was getting late and I still needed to get some cleaning done and have some lunch so I head home, stopped at Wendy's because they have this new burger with blue cheese and bacon, so. good.
Got home fed and Ava and then myself, cleaned the floors and then it was time to get Logan already. Loads of fun today let me tell you. TGIF

Happy 6 Months Ava!!!
Wow, I can not believe that she is six months, half a year, half way to 1, already. This time 6 months ago we were in recovery snuggling with our fresh out of the oven baby girl. It really does go so much faster with your second. What an incredible six months we have had with her, she is truly a joy and the perfect addition to our family. I am very excited to see what the next six months brings us, but I know next time I turn around she is going to be a year old.
Here is our BIG 6 month old who is now 18 lbs 4 oz (she was 8 lbs 4.5 oz at birth so she has gained 10 lbs!) and is 28 inches!

(and reason 426 that I love my new sink, we can bathe Ava in it and not mess with that whale tub thing anymore! She LOVED taking a bath in the new sink)
