1st Day Of Preschool!

Logan had his first day of preschool today! Today was a short day, where the parents come with and we meet the teachers go over paperwork hand in paperwork, explore the classroom and the school and meet some of the other kids. Logan was a little shy, but he had fun playing with train table and actually way quite upset that we had to leave so soon, he told us to leave. There were some tears shed when we had to leave, go figure, probably the only kid who cried because he had to LEAVE school! After school we headed to the zoo and we had a blast! It was so nice out (very windy though) and the zoo was dead, it was so nice not having to deal with the crowds. The kids had a blast, Ava loved seeing all the animals and loved walking around in the goat pen in the childrens zoo. Ava really liked watching the monkey's too. Logan was our map holder and he directed us where to go all day. We had a nice lunch and played at the park there too. Of course my camera died while we were at the zoo, but we got some pictures at least!

Goodbye Summer!

We spent this Labor Day hanging out at home and doing some BBQing! It was nice not to have anywhere to go and just relax. Matt finished staining our back porch and even though none of us feel real great still, we managed to have some fun!

I can't believe that my first baby starts preschool tomorrow! Time has quite literally been flying since he was born and now he's off to preschool and my second baby is walking already and almost a year old. I am so excited for him, I know he is going to do great and I am so proud of him, he has been through so much in his almost four and he has weathered it all and came out on top, love my little guy!

Off to bed, it's a school night after all!

Tired and sick...wah!

We are the house of blah's today. Logan and I have been sick since earlier this week and now Ava is miserable today. My Dad caught Logan's cold as well and as usual his turned into pneumonia (his 3rd or 4th bought with it since last winter) so he is on antibiotic and miserable as well. Somehow Matt has stayed healthy, fingers crossed he stays that way!

There has been very little sleep for Matt and I since Logan got sick, he is coughing all night, and it's waking Ava up, then she's fussy, get her back down and then Logan is up coughing again, you get the picture. I can't wait until this cold is out of the house for good, it's a bad one!

Well That Was Quick!

Ava took her first few steps yesterday and I figured it would take awhile before she was really a "walker" (Logan took his first steps at 11 months but wasn't a "walker" until 13 months) but as usual, she is in to0 big of a hurry to be like big brother and she has been walking her cute self all over the house today! She is so pleased with herself it's so cute, we went outside today and she was walking around outside "chasing" a ball, so cute! I always thought she would be walking by her first birthday, she has always done things much earlier than Logan and I figured walking would be no exception!

It Won't Be Long Now!

Ava started taking more than one little shuffle the other day, and tonight she was getting up on her own and walking (not towards Matt or I). I think we will have a walker by her birthday!

Sickie's

Logan is sick, low fever, croupy cough (again), I am dizzy like my head is starting to fill up with congestion and sneezing like crazy, Ava is now all congested, and my Dad caught Logan's cold as well. Matt remains well, for now.

I have a feeling it's going to be a long night between the two of them, Logan is sleeping but coughing so I can't imagine it is a good sleep, and it in turn is keeping Ava in a light sleep. Blah.

Off to rest, waiting for Matt to get home, he is going to start working late on Wednesday's now, since I will have class Monday nights, which is when he typically worked late.

We were well all summer, so it would figure we would get sick the week before Logan starts preschool. Life with kids right?
